What You Should Know About Vitamins And Health -- Find Convenient Topics

You hear a lot about vitamins and minerals, but do you have any idea if you are getting what you need? You probably are, for the most part. There are times when we don't however, and this lead to a fascinating theory. My mother gave me a book she read a long time ago, and it stated that those who don't get the right vitamins and minerals each day might get sick easier and also might walk around with unusual cravings.

After I read the book, it made me think about a teacher I had in fifth grade. This person was your classic teacher, even if he was not very animated. Many times he would eat the chalk he had in the classroom. Though we thought it was funny at the time, I never thought there was a reason why he did it. May be it had something to do with the amount of vitamins and minerals in his diet? I am not sure, but this book told me it was. It's a fascinating theory. Our bodies do crave vitamins and minerals we aren't getting, but would it make us eat chalk?

So this might be the explanation why you demand certain foods. That's certainly not as awful as eat chalk, but this might explain odd cravings, particularly during pregnancy. Expecting women necessitate more vitamins and minerals than anybody, and they need to be sure they get them. Do they have to ask for Italian dressing and hotdogs in the middle of the night if they aren't getting the vitamins and minerals for themselves as well as what they need for their growing baby? I don't know.

I {really don't know if a lack of essential vitamins and minerals might explain cravings, even though the man who wrote the book made some excellent points. What I do believe is that you have to deal with cravings every day when you are on a diet, and maybe if you make sure your intake of vitamins and minerals is what it is suppose to be might just prevent a few of those stupid urges that make you over eat. Even though it's just a theory, maybe if you make sure you take a daily vitamin it might help you to stop your cravings just in case it works. If you start a diet plan that ensures you get the right foods each day, maybe that, along with the vitamins, might give you the head start you require to stay on track. Just don't eat chalk, ok?
