Where is the Profit In Online Marketing?

Yes there are people who run an online business and make a lot of money doing so. Not all of them would call themselves Online Marketers though.

These people are just using the internet to boost their sales for their offline business.

Then there are those who do have a web based business that they have created from (or about) something they have a passion for. 

These would be called Niche Marketers!

I would venture to say that this class of Internet Marketer makes the most money! Why do I say this? Because They Don’t Try To Sell to their visitors.

Yes you read that right. I think they make more because they don’t try to sell to their visitors! They provide content to their visitors that is based on what their visitors interest are.

Have you guessed what form of Internet Marketing I am talking about?

It is Blogging!

Blogging is simply a person writing about a specific topic on which they know a lot of information about! Or maybe they know a little and invite their visitors to make comments with their own opinion.

This type of marketer would most likely make money by monetizing their blog by way of paid advertising space, or promoting a product related to their specific niche market, either as an affiliate or a product they created.

The important thing is they do not just push these things at their visitors. They just have them available on their site. As their visitors are interacting with the site they see these ads and or products listed on the side bar. And since they are interested in the topic of the blog they are reading they would naturally be drawn to topics (Ads and Products) that are related.

See? No Selling being done at all! Just providing access to what their visitors are interested in.
